The Barron Babble

Dear Baby Barron,
These past few months have been so much fun and full of a little sickness. Your dad and I found out we were expecting you into our family on the night of August 1, 2013. This night was actually the night before Uncle Eric's wedding. I had been feeling off and very nauseous and had been complaining to daddy about it for a few weeks. With a little bit of Grandma Hirsh's nudging and with mine and your dad's every growing curiosity we convinced Aunt Abbey to go to Walmart with us, but we didn't tell her why. She drove us there and we quickly split away from her and the others that went and snuck to the pregnancy tests.
When we returned to the hotel room, which we shared with a lot of people, we went into the bathroom and took the first pregnancy test. Let me tell you, waiting that 4 minutes or however long you have to wait was like waiting an hour! I was so anxious and excited and in my heart and through the guidance of my nausea I knew that I was pregnant but I was still really nervous that it wouldn't come back positive and my hopes and dreams would be crushed. But, sure enough it was positive You're dad and I hugged and giggled and smiled for a long time! Then I got nervous again, and took another one just to be sure;).
We wanted Uncle Eric and Auntie Jess's wedding to be all about them so you kept you a secret for the rest of the weekend. We did decide though that when daddy and I returned to Kansas we would tell Grandma Hirsh and Auntie Bek. I needed to tell at least them because I needed support, knowledge and to let off all of my excitement. When we got back to Kansas we told them and they were overjoyed. It was so awesome!
To this point I hadn't thrown up. Which brings us to the second part of the story.... the first trimester. Three days after we confirmed you were coming into our lives I started throwing up. I was sick all day and all night and at first would throw up at least once a day. As the first trimester continued, I started throwing up twice a day. I was fine with it though because it confirmed to me that you really were there and that you were growing. When we finally returned back to NY I was about 8 weeks pregnant, still in the first trimester, I called the OB office and they told me that I was to come for my first appointment on September 3. That first appointment was interesting, but it was amazing because I got to hear your little heart beat. I couldn't believe how fast it was and I just sat there and wept. Kelly Cook went with me because well I was scared and Grandma Hirsh couldn't go and daddy had just started his new job and so he couldn't go either. But as Kelly and I sat there and heard your heart it was one of the most amazing experience in my life.
After this appointment we decided that although it was still the first trimester we would tell the rest of our family members. They were all so happy for us and so excited to meet you!
The first trimester came to an end and my nausea subsided almost completely at 14 weeks. Thanks for that :) Now in the second trimester I have been able to hear your heart beat and just recently started to feel you move! It is so exciting and I always get so happy when I feel you movin' and groovin'! I can't wait until they kick and move hard enough and when your big enough to let daddy feel! He will be so excited! I was able to feel you move at the end of 16 weeks! That has been our journey thus far! It has been interesting, exciting and REALLY exciting! We will be able to find out if you are a girl or a boy in 11 days on November 6th. I'm pretty sure you're a girl and daddy kinda thinks so too. Daddy and I love you already and can't wait to meet you!!!!!
        Love, Mommy

Today was a great day I had the day off and got soooo much done!! I deep cleaned the entire apartment and it looks great. I was never a fan of cleaning anything growing up but its so much easier to clean when you kind of have a reason too. I love to see my husbands face when he comes home to a clean apartment! I've always heard a clean home is a happy home... and after the last 5 months of being married I totally know that that's true. After I cleaned the house I sat on the couch and tried to decide what to have for dinner.. I couldn't think of anything and I always make the same like 10 things so I went online for like and hour and a half to find something to make when I finally had a craving for biscuits and gravy! I was super excited and soon found a crackle barrel white gravy recipe that sounded and looked amazing and then found a homemade buttermilk biscuit.. so I went with it. the buttermilk biscuits were AMAZING and I will definitely be doing that again. The gravy wasn't such a success I mean it came out fine but it was a longgg process. As I was making it, it tasted bland and I was so mad! So I decided to put more salt in and that didn't quite work out. I shook the salt thing to hard and the gravy was sooo salty and I started freaking out and told Dave he wasn't allowed to eat it and I was almost in tears so I googled how to fix a salt catastrophe and it told me to just put more of the other ingredients. And that didn't work so well so I checked another link that said to put a little sugar in it... and it worked out and turned out to be sooo goood!!! I took pictures and was so excited to put them up but my camera has a micro memory card and I can't find the converter dang it... Anyway, you all should have biscuits and gravy tomorrow it was soo yummy, just be careful with the salt ;) Now I have a husband to snuggle and t.v watch :)
                                                   Till next time,

Intro.

The first thing to know about me is I LOVE blogs... LOVE them.. I can spend hours just looking at blogs. All of my friends know that and many of them have told me to just start my own. But I didn't feel like I had a super significant life that would be of interest to anyone or that would help anyone like all of the blogs that I read. But I know that this blog will help me document my life and my adventures and those are important to me.
My blog will mainly be about important events in our lives, my adventures in the cooking world. I love to try new things and am so excited to show everyone my accomplishments.
I started this blog kind of late and have to do the dishes but I'll help you get to know us a little better first.

- I love reading blogs!!!
- I like to cook, its something I never ever thought about doing before I got married and it was on of the things I was most afraid of... But I love it :)
- I was diagnosed and have been living with Multiple Sclerosis since January of 2011 and have been doing quite well.. I have over the past two years only had one severe and life altering flare up so that's really good :)

That's just a little bit about us but I know there will be much more to come. Until next time,
